When the Scandi Phone was introduced in Europe in the mid-1950s, it was the smallest, lightest phone around. In 1973, it was chosen for MoMa’s permanent collection. Pick it up to get a dial tone, dial the number you want, and set it down to end the call. Pushbutton dial, redial button, ringer volume on/off switch, receiver high/low switch (adjusts earpiece volume).
