Gurgling Jug

Nearly every household in England, including Buckingham Palace, has a "gurgling" or "glug glug" jug on the kitchen table. When the jug is filled with water or any other beverage, air is trapped in the fish's tail; as the liquid is poured out, the air produces a surprisingly loud and rather marvelous gurgle. No one seems to know where the design originated-and today, the only known producer of this traditional collectible craft form is Wade Ceramics in Staffordshire. 9 ½" handpainted multicolored, 9 ½" green jug or 9 ½" cobalt blue jug; each hold one quart.
