I have always loved Tommy and Tuppence from my childhood days, reading through my Mom and Grandma's Agatha Christies; so, when the series appeared on PBS, I was delighted, especially as I'm also a big fan of Francesca Annis. As the visual elements of the series, including Ms. Annis' gorgeous costumes, stayed with me, I was delighted to finally be able to obtain the series on DVD.
Very Good Christie mysteries with humor and period feel.

The Tommy & Tuppence "Partners in Crime" shows were well done films of Agatha Christie's novels and short stories about the Beresfords. James Warwick and Francesca Annis play the title roles in superb fashion. The quality of the DVD is good, but not as sharp as some and the fact they have no extras keep it from being a 5 star rating. The TV series left off a couple short stories that explained better why Beresford used the name Blunt but still very good. Humor and married romance set this apart from many other mystery series. Recommend highly.

Never having seen the Partners in Crime programs when they were originally on TV, I was particularly interested to see them, being a fan of Agatha Christie. The prevailing attitude is rather lighthearted & "fluffy", not as serious as perhaps some of the crimes call for. I don't feel that I ever got to know Tommy & Tuppence as real people. One of the big attractions was the anticipation of the hats & garments worn by Tuppence throughout the series-- they are fabulous!

We watched them on PBS or else A&E many years ago, and they were just so enjoyable. We're Agatha Christie fans, so it adds to our collection. They're 'fluffy' but fun!

I enjoyed these two together. The chemistry these two have works well with each other. I wished though they would have done more than 3 season or series. Quality is not bad either for the age of the program. Acorn did a good job putting it on dvd.

This is a very entertaining series. Granted it's dated but it is about the 1920's so it's a fun look at fashions and life styles. Some how though, the script does not seem quite like Agatha Christie and I wonder how much editing was done by the people who wrote the show. Still worth watching!
