Still adding my info to the device but so far very good and I'm glad I ordered the item!
I was excited about ordering this and having a good tool to organize all of my passwords. That said, this gadget is rather labor intensive and time consuming to use and I'm not sure it is worth the effort, despite the good idea behind the product.
This is a very good way to store passwords, etc. it is a pain to enter the whole lot the first time, but once they are all in, it's good. I have about forty sites on mine. The only waly to find a site name is to scroll, backwards or forwards. It's a shame you can't enter the first letter in the name and have it find for you, but it's still worth the price.
This Password Memory Vault was exactly what I was looking for. It has more features than I expected, especially the password to enter data area. I am glad I bought two. I can put my floor vault code numbers on with no worry about security.
I have dozens of passwords for work and home and I used to keep them in a little notebook in my purse. Not very secure. I love this little addition to my memory. My only complaint is that some of the special characters I use in my passwords are not on the keypad so I have to spell them.
Easy to use
Love it! I feel less stressed about remembering passwords. Because it requires a PIN I feel my passwords are safely stored. I plan to give some as gifts next Christmas.
Last year I purchased 3 of these, 1 for myself, 2 as gifts. Since different sites require different types of passwords (combinations of letters, numbers, etc.) I find the vault invaluable for storing my user names and passwords. It lets you know when the battery is low and you can change the battery without losing your data. I purchased 2 more this year and now use one at my business as well. 2 thumbs up!
found this to be the best way to keep up with all those passwords that increase as time goes by
Practical, handy, & easy to use! (Buttons could be just a bit larger/more user friendly). A great buy!
It was difficult to get started with creating my master password. I had to press the erase setting several times before it worked. That took two days to figure out. But once that it accepted the request, it worked very well. Instructions were very easy to follow after that. Very pleased with my purchase.
The unit takes some getting use to as you need to press the keys a number of times to get the right letter or number for your password. Hope the maker of the unit can upgrade it to a more efficient technology.
The concept is great bt the inputting of words and codes is a little difficult.
Item was as described and arrived in a timely manner
I bought i because I have little pieces of paper with passwords on them stuck all over my computer desk! I found it a little tedious to use and never did find how to make a space. However, the passwords are in there now, so I hope it will save a lot of searching through little notes, which are clearly not secure!
This is a very much needed piece; especially for old characters such as I. My wife has entirely too many of these bloody passwords (and she never even worked for the CIA). Should maybe be built a bit more ruggedly.
Great for all passwords. I sure needed this.
This one keeps all yoour passwords secret with one password to gain access. I used to keep a MS Word sheet on my computer with an odd name for all of my passwords and sites. This has saved much for me.
items arrived timely and in great condition. They are gifts so I have not used them.
I Loved the idea of having a secure place to keep the never-ending need for varied and different passwords, I ordered the password memory hoping that it would solve that problem. The device works but it is cumbersome and time consuming to enter all the data, the keys have multiple alpha/numeric symbols -like the older cell phones do, and they aren't very responsive so repeated keying becomes necessary. I probably won't use this as much as I had hoped, a better keypad would make this an outstanding product.
Passwords! I had so many passwords and my main problem was trying to remember them all. I came across the password vault when searching the Internet looking for "something"to help me keep all my passwords organized and a place where all my passwords could be in one place and.secure from anyone discovering them and putting my accounts in jeopardy of being hacked, etc. The password vault does all of that for me! The instruction manual is extremely user friendly making the initial set up and subsequent entries fast and easy. I've had the vault for about 10 days and so far I only have the best to say about this product. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs help remembering all those passwords that we must deal with daily.
Very nice and safe device to store the passwords.
The slide down design reveals a clunky keyboard, more like an i-Phone's, with mushy keys and a small screen on the top for data. The software reminds me of the early Casio PDAs and is about as flexible. Data entry is cumbersome and time consuming (a sacrifice for smallness?, but once entered, search and retreval is prompt enough until mid-way into the 400 entry maximum, then it slows noticably. On balance, it's a good effort and may find a useful niche market, but future efforts will need some sort of transfer capability for upgrading. Will it replace my trusty notebook, now dogeared from use, probably not; but future versions or competitors might.
Liked it. Great storage. I am tired of having a half dozen papers with user and password info. Makes it compact and portable if I want to take it on a trip.
I love this little vault. I keep it by my computer and it has enabled me to have different usernames and passwords for different accounts without constantly having to retrieve or change passwords. I am purchasing another one for travel. My only reservation is that it does take a bit of time to use the small keyboard to plug in information.
I,too purchased this device with the idea that I would never again "forget" another password- of which I have dozens. This little gadget has too many shortcomings to list, but primarily: the keyboard is cumbersome and deficient in tht it offers only a small number of symbols (for ex. does not even have a "?"). If you are like me, you might mix numbers and symbols along with letters in coming up with a good password, so this is a major problem. There is no backlighting, so it's difficult to see and navigate. The response time after you type is slow. All in all, don't bother- I returned mine.
I hunted all over for something to store the huge list of passwords I have. I found this and thought it would be perfect for my needs - I was wrong. I buy lots of electronic gadgets and this is by far the worst one I have ever bought. It has no backlight, no way of scrolling quickly through the list, the keys barely work - you have to push and wiggle the rubber arrow keys to get it to scroll and then when it does decide to work it doesnt scroll, instead you have to push the button up and down continuously. Silly me I bought two of these and certainly regret it.
