Gave it to my Mom, an avid gardener. It took both of us to put it together, but its just fabulous. The petals bend easily, and getting them angled the same is the key to catching every breeze.
I LOVE IT I watch it all the time. I do live in a desert climate so we have wind most of the time and it works like a charm. Suggestion When you set it up be sure the blades are bent evenly - if not, it doesn't operate well.
First, I live in a very windy area in Arizona, so it turns just fine, but it does not exactly go fast. At many times one side is spinning rapidly and the other sitting still. Having said that, I love it and it is fascinating to watch. Wish you had more such items.
Seems a lot cooler in the catalog....doesn't really have that wow factor in person.
I really like the way it looks, but it takes more than a gentle breeze for it to move. In fact it usually does not move.
The catalog description says it spins in the "slightest breeze." Nope. I tried it in all directions and configurations. I even lubricated it. In a slight breeze it is motionless. Even in a stiff wind it barely moves. It's a major disappointment.
I love it!! This sculpture sits right in my field of vision where I see it with my morning tea. It's kenetic feature moves with the sea breezes and catches the eye. Even my cat is entranced. I have seen similar ones selling in Santa Fe for $1500; this one was [$]. How can you beat that!? The only difference I can see is that the more expensive ones are maybe 4 feet taller.
Constructed out of heavy metal and not very well balanced, it did not turn even in a heavy breeze. Very dissapointing. It was difficult to return due to operator providing wrong information twice
We would have liked it even better if the "rays" had been in color. It would have stood out more.
Saw one like it at friend's house wanted for my pool area dissappointed that it doesn't turn (that's the whole idea behind this sculpture
This was a gift to my mother-in-law, an avid gardener and lover of art & beauty. She loved it!
had to rework parts before using. blades bend easily.
Was of such poor quality that it would not spin in 20 to 25 mph winds. It was terribly out of balance.

This was the most affordable kinetic yard art I could find. It may be worth spending more money to get a more sturdy product.
The garden ornament was a gift for my father on Fathers Day. It looks charming in my parents garden. The doormat was for me. It perks up the back door entrance-unique, colorful AND useful.
Item had screw holes soldered incorrectly but called ACORN and they immediately sent another. Between the two we were able to get one that worked and sent the rest back and ACORN paid the shipping. Couldn't ask for better customer service.
Very nice sculptural piece.
It is different, made well so will last. Bought one for me and one for a gift
A beautiful looking piece of junk - a big loser & waste of money. You people shouldn't sell a piece of poorly made scrap metal like this - "for shame on you."
I've tried lots of directions and locations but never seems to be enough wind to get the blades to turn. They do easily when you spin them with your hand but not by the wind. Each wheel seems to have a heavy spot the wind is not enough to move. Disappointing.
