Fearsome machines of war, catapults were used for centuries to besiege walled cities and other strongholds— think the Romans vs. Jerusalem in AD 70, or Alexander the Great’s attack on Aornos in 327 BC. Designed after an 11th century original, this miniature version really works, hurling small objects amazing distances. Cast in zinc alloy. 5 ½" long; 1 ¼lb.
