My Birds on a Wire
My BOAW is presently hanging in a bay window overlooking the patio entrance to our garden condo. It is colorful and cheery and can even be seen through cellular shade at night-time. After being delivered to the wrong address it is finally here and I love it. The chain could be about six inches shorter and when I buy something to cut the very substantial chain, I will do that.

I was very happy when I opened the package for the Birds on a Wire Stained Glass that I had ordered. It is simply beautiful. I hung it up in my kitchen window and it just sparkles everyday when the sun comes in. I have a large spruce tree right outside of my window, so I positioned it so it looks like they are perched on the tree branch. Very please with the product as well as the service provided. It came quickly and was packaged very well so not to break. Thank you very much. I enjoy looking at these birds!

This is just as beautiful as it looks. I have french doors that one is stationary and a deck outsie of it that I love to feed and watch birds. THey sometimes try and fly at door so this helps them to know they can't.I have looked at this several times and finally said I am going to order it! I was very very pleased.

The birds were all in shades of brown rather than the colorful reds, purples, oranges and greens in the picture. Disappointing as these were gifts for family.

I smile whenever I look up at the window to my backyard and feeders. The colors of the birds are not only very representative, they really glow in the sun. The whole stained glass piece was easy to hang. It came with its own chain that links right onto the piece at either end of the top. It also functions nicely as a piece to let the birds know that there is a glass window there and not to fly into it. I truly love having the birds in my window.

I was a bit skeptical based on some of the reviews but this was a beaufitul piece of art. The colors are vivid, even some of the eyes really shine. My mom loved this and I was very pleased. It was worth the $100.
Wonderful Art
I was very pleased with the Birds created on stained glass. I have a large parrot and I must say that this piece looks as though real birds were perching on the upper part of my window. The package was professionally wrapped and the piece was not chipped or cracked. I would not hesitate ordering products from Acorn.

The reviews I read (after ordering) were either wonderful or awful, so I held my breath until it arrived. It IS made in China, which -- had I known it upfront -- would probably have deterred me from ordering. The material is either glass or heavy, textured plastic; quite frankly, I just can't tell. It was packaged as if it were glass. The workmanship is a little shoddy, but unless you examine it closely, you wouldn't notice. Overall, I'm satisfied.

This stained glass piece is one I ordered for my mother who loves both stained glass and birds. I liked the Birds-on-a-Wire Stained Glass. My wife enjoys it each day from the kitchen as the morning sunlight shines through the birds. However, a few suggestions - 1) the chain is a little overkill for the weight of the piece. A lighter version chain would be more appealing. And 2) it would also be more appealing if there were some brighter colors such as red in the piece. Ours seems to have a lot of brown coloration. But overall, very satisfied with this purchase.

The overall product was nice. As others have previously noted the quality was not fantastic - looked liked on one side of the product it was very bumpy and not a lot of care was taken. But it was sturdy enough and good looking from the front. The over look was appealing once hung in the window.

This is a gift, not get given, so I don't know how the recipent will like it, but I thought it was delightful. I can see it hanging in her kitchen window and brightening up any morning. I only wish there had been a cardinal in the midst, but the birds are colorful and it appears to be put together well.

Darling window hanging
Often catalog items prove disappointing. Not this one! Haven't managed to get it hung yet, but soon. It came with a rather short chain. Might have been better with a longer one so it could be hung on two brackets. Also would have liked to have the bracket and appropriate hardware with it. I have a collection of glass birds, and this will hang in the window next to it.

Top quality stained glass. Looks fabulous in my huge window. I had a problem with birds flying into one of my large picture windows. The stained glass birds refract the light, the outdoor birds are alerted to the glass and no longer fly into the window. The birds and I thank you!

Birds on a Wire
My wife was thumbing through the various catalogs we get for the holidays and said "Oh, this would look beautiful hanging on the glass of the extended glass wall of prow windows" on our mountain log home. I noted the catalog as being Acorn, and later ordered the item. I give it five stars, because it arrived shortly, was well packed and therefore unbroken, and most importantly, was well made and more beautiful than the catalog photo showed. It is to be a Christmas gift, so my wife will not see it for a couple more weeks. My only complaint / regret is that if I had waited a few more days to order, the shipping charge would have been waived ( a substantial cost for a retired person ).
Wrong Colors
The birds are pretty but none of the same colors as picture!!!! More orange, brown and purple!! Luckily it goes in my house as it didnt go with the colors of my Mom's who I bought it for!!!

My initial reaction was disappointment because the colors were not as vivid as the picture on-line. Stain glass comes in a wide variety of color & I realized it would be near to impossible to have the one on line. The piece has grown on me.

Stained glass birds
This is exactly what we have been looking for, for a long time. We have it hanging in a transom above a door and it fits there just perfect. I think it is even nicer than we expected, and my wife is contemplating on purchasing another for another transom window. It catches your eye as son as you walk in the front door.

This item looks great in the picture, had it delivered for myself, I love birds and thought this would be beautiful in the window. Inside the box was a plastic looking, dollar store craft. Colors dull, the lead or black filler looked wavy, uneven and extremely sloppy.Returned the day after delivery, arrived on their dock 2 days later and the $99 took a month to apply to my account, I shall be very careful about any more orders.

Reluctantly buying another
Looks great, but the "made in China" was a turnoff, and the first one we bought was covered in an oily substance that needed to be cleaned off. Given concerns about toxicity of some Chinese mechandise, not exactly confidence-inspiring. The "looks good" part and the need for a matching second is what is driving the purchase of another. Also, overpriced given the issues above.

Poor construction, not worth the money!!
I love the colors in this piece, however, I was disappointed when I opened the box. The metal sodering was very choppy and looked like a beginner welded the pieces together. You can't really see that in the picture online, but it was poorly done. Not sure if I will return it, but I would be too embearassed to give it as a Christmas gift. Definitely overpriced for the quality! Too bad.

This is not stained glass, and it does not have the translucence, sparkle or clarity of real stained glass. The birds are a pretty design, but the material they're made of seems to be some sort of plastic, they are much dimmer and duller than shown in the catalog photo. It would take extremely bright light directly behind them to give this piece any life, which may be possible if you have a very sunny window. Cute idea, but you can't cheat on materials and claim something looks like the "Tiffany style"! Style is not substance in this case. Disappointed, I regretfully returned it.
