I sent this poncho to a friend as a gift who has everything she needs. She visits NYC on a regular basis though, and her raincoat wasn't fitting the bill. The poncho is perfect

Don't wear it in the rain!

This poncho is beautiful, but useless. The only reason I gave it any stars is that the colorful world map garnered many accolades. But at $55, it was way overpriced. I bought it to wear on an international trip where I expected it might rain. I discovered it was stunning eye candy, but no protection from the rain. The catalog description says it is "water-resistant" but it doesn't say that rain water will stream down your head, neck, shoulders and back because the seams on the hood leak badly. The seam where the hood is sewn to the poncho body funnels all the rain landing on your head to your neck and below!!! I figure that using an umbrella would keep the rain off the hood so it wouldn't leak in, BUT THE WHOLE POINT OF A PONCHO IS TO AVOID HOLDING AN UMBRELLA. Until they redesign the thing to effectively seal the seams, the dazzling graphics won't counteract the lack of functionality. Don't waste your money!

The idea is good, but finished product is lacking pockets and the material does not hang well. It stays very wrinkled. I would have sent it back but needed rain gear for a trip and didn't have time to replace it. So I'll keep it for walking the dog as winter is coming

The item is amazing but getting Canadians to buy on line something needs to be done about the S/H. This product weighs less thatn 2 ounces and I had to pay $9 and the duty was $16.

What a great poncho! It is VERY lightweight and yet sturdy, has the map of the whole world on it, and it'll keep me dry in times of rain and windproof in times of gales. Also it's very good looking.

Love this poncho. I had a jacket once made of this material that was covered with copies of old hotel logos from all over the world so when I saw this I knew I wanted it. Great conversation piece!
