Jack’s day starts with a corpse in the trunk of a fancy sports car and gets worse from there. Paired with a beautiful new partner, he starts off on the wrong foot by hitting on her. The two clash as they somehow manage to unmask the killer.
Jack and Georgina go undercover to solve the murder of a university student and are drawn into the world of gender politics. Meanwhile, Georgina finds a seemingly perfect man, and Jack brags about his new girlfriend, Danielle.
A childish stunt by Jack earns the warring partners a temporary demotion to missing persons. When an attorney disappears and later turns up dead, they go undercover at the local gym, the last place he was seen. Jack works harder on his pecs than on policing, and Georgina is attracted to one of the members.
The death of a former contestant on a cooking show has Georgina working undercover again. She impresses everyone with her culinary skills, including Jack, who uses her recipes to win over his hot new girlfriend, Beth.
Called to investigate the murder of a school headmaster who’s been stabbed through the neck with a knitting needle, Jack is most worried about dealing with kids. He hates kids, but he likes their sexy mothers: one because she’s the perfect suspect, another because she’s clearly interested in him.
Investigating an armed robbery at a family-run jewelry store, Jack and Georgina squabble over whether diamonds are romantic. The theft was obviously an inside job, but the owner’s father doesn’t want the law involved. Jack’s brother asks him to be best man at his wedding, and Georgina joins an online dating site.
